The Manufacturing and Engineering Trainee Program is a two-year fast-track program designed for high-potential Engineering graduates. Trainees complete a series of six-month on-the-job training rotations at different plant locations leading to careers in: Manufacturing Technology, Industrial Engineering, Project Management, Manufacturing Engineering, 1st line Supervisor and Plant Management. Each rotation is designed to give the trainee a broad overview of Lithonia engineering and manufacturing processes and of the company as a whole. The assignments vary widely, but all require a strong technical and analytical aptitude. Trainees are evaluated throughout the program, and progress is reviewed frequently. A rent-free, furnished apartment is provided for rotations outside of the Atlanta, GA area, including Cochran, GA, Indianapolis, IN and Monterrey, Mexico.

Qualifications: 2.9/4.0 GPA MINIMUM Requirement

Co-op or Internship experience is desirable. The strongest candidates are flexible, quick learners and interested in Six Sigma methodology. Equally important is a track record of leadership roles in academic, extra-curricular, athletic, and/or community activities. Bi-lingual Spanish is a definite asset. UNDERGRADUATE MAJORS INCLUDE: Mechanical and Industrial Engineering/Industrial Systems Engineering. MUST HAVE THE UNRESTRICTED LEGAL RIGHT TO RESIDE IN THE UNITED STATES AND WORK FOR LITHONIA LIGHTING.
